Think that because you are a plus sized beauty that vintage doesn’t work for you? Wrong! You just need to be open to exploring, open to shopping and open to finding your inner diva.

You get it, just like shopping for non-vintage.

You have to figure out what your unique vintage look is. You can be a hot Rockabilly momma, a sex bombshell like Marilyn Monroe; a tempting hottie like Bettie Page….the list goes on. Maybe you like a strong wide shouldered Joan Crawford? A 60’s diva as in Edie Sedgwick? Or an 80’s style maven like Joan Collins. Whatever works for you, you can do it!

Mixing modern with vintage works and that is the key to unlocking your own vintage persona.

If you like velvets and fringe and beads and pearls…you are a 1920’s kind of gal. Like the sleek art Nuevo of the 1930’s? Or the sexy bombshell of the 50’s? Mod, indie, hippie…..so many styles! Don’t be afraid to limit you or your beautiful bod!

The first thing to do is think about your figure (which you already know all too well, like all women). Don’t think about any flaws but rather think about the best parts, the parts you like. Is it your boobs? Your butt? Your face? Whatever the best is, you will emphasize that! It’s the best way to shop for things you will adore and wear!

You need to take your body measurements; there, said it. Take measurements of your hips, waist, inseam, bust, thigh width, etc. Then, measure items you currently own that you like to wear. Makes sense, if you like to wear it—it fits well. Tight or flowy, you know what you like!
