You can find vintage pencil skirts in abundance, and while not all from the original 1950’s period, even a 1980’s pencil skirt can look hot teamed with the right pieces. Due to the sleek lines, there isn’t a lot of room for decade specific identifiers, so a 1980’s pencil skirt can easily work with your 1950’s style retro cardigan. Mix and match, since the vintage pencil skirt is in abundance it is fun to play around with the different fabrics and textures it is often offered in. Nubby tweed or wool, suit weight wool, knits, …. the possibilities are endless.
