Bold Vintage Necklaces Reign Supreme in Vintage Clothing Fashion

Pulling together a great vintage outfit, no matter if you are working on a classic Pin-up look or an Indie look or something straight out from the 1980’s, can be done with one simple accessory.
The bold vintage necklace.
A really hot look right now seems to be the draped metallic strands necklace. You can see them worn by the mere commoner like you and I to fashion icons like Cameron Diaz.
When you are hunting for a vintage necklace, it is hard to find what you are looking for. I think a score of a great vintage necklace just happens. You stumble on it in a thrift store or you happen to stop at a garage sale or estate sale and you find one or maybe more that you love. I have found great vintage jewelry in the oddest places, sales or shops you wouldn’t think would have anything cool have turned out to be great finds.
One time, I stopped at a garage sale that I would normally have passed by. In fact, my hubby and I would have labeled it a BOSS sale (Bunch of Sh** Sale) in our “secret code”. But I stopped. And, I found 4 amazing vintage 1960’s-1970’s circa necklaces that I still enjoy wearing. So, the lesson here is to keep an open mind.
Some stores are carrying collections that imitate vintage jewelry, and I have seen these strand necklaces in various shops and online. Forever 21 has one they call Candy Jewel Chains that is quite nice. You can also find great vintage jewelry online on sites like eBay and Amazon. The problem with that though is that these people know they have something of value so your chance of scoring it at a bargain is slim. It is worth a shot though, and browsing the offerings on eBay is fun. You can take a peek at the vintage necklaces here or by using our tool below:
